Making Memories

Growing up when ever we'd take a wrong turn or things weren't going just right, my grandmother would tell us, "We're making another memory!" And she was right, even with the besr laid plans, often times those things that we remember are the things that just happen or the things that happen when we create the right conditions for them to happen...

Sure, we all have memories on trips or special occasions, but some of my favorites are those everyday memories when we stopped what was typical and did something wonderful.

I want to be a memory maker for my children. I want their memories to be a part of their happiness. It's through experience, they learn to love, learn about the world around us, learn about themselves. I love it when my children say, "Mom, you remember when we ...." that means that we did something memorable, something worth remembering.

We've taken trips, explored local places of interest, done science experiments at home, enrolled them in classes...all to make memories, to make everyday extraordinary!
