TEa Party at La Madeline

It was a great party. The ladies chose their desserts from the case and enjoyed visiting with each other while trying new things.

The activity for the party was [inky painting - little dots, like Seurat. They enjoyed making their own creations. We even painted princess crowns at the restaurant.

Up Up and Away! Birthday

Celebrating Prestons 7th birthday with a airplane, adventure themed party was a hit. All of the guests had a a great time.

INVITATIONS
the invitations were created to look like boarding passes inviting the guests to share in the adventure of being 7 - uncharted territory for the birthday guy.

LOCATION
A local fitness club has laser tag and a ropes course that we bought unlimited access wristbands for the guests to enjoy. The club also has several birthday party rooms and we rented a room instead of buying the entire birthday package, which saved us quite a bit of money.

REFRESHMENTS
I ordered a small cake and a dozen cupcakes from a local bakery. The cake decorator cut out a fondant airplane that matched the invitations, added a few clouds and the number 7... it was adorable. We also added some extra cupcakes to serve and I made cupcake sticks for them to dress them up.

PARTY FAVORS
I bought a compass, whistle and flashlight keychain toy from Oriental Trading and a spy glass and toy telescope too. All of those went into the favor bag along with some chocolates. I wrapped a mailing label that I'd designed to match the theme around a Hershey's nugget; They fit perfectly... We added a baggage claim sign next to where we left the favor bags to add to the airplane theme.

After watching the first episode of Nickelodean iCarly, where the main character decides to do a web show, my kids decided that they would like to do a "show". Choosing to share our experiences with others, sounded like a really fun idea.

After going to a restaurant or on an outing, we talk about how we felt about it and what we each think and then we share those thoughts and ideas with you.
