Making Gummies

Santa brought me a Gummy Candy Maker for Christmas and while we are snowed in we thought we'd give it a try. They were delicious and so easy to make. We used knox gelatin and sugar free cherry for our first batch. The entire batch only had 15 calories! The bears and worms only lasted a few minutes here so we are off to make batch #2!

Healthy Recipes
We plan to keep making gummies and our mom plans to sneak vitamins and good stuff like that in some of them too. There are recipes all over the internet like these from DIY Natural.

Fun Molds
Making them into fun shapes that taste good will make us all happy. We have been looking at so many of the great options out there. Our Star Wars mold will be coming soon!

Christmas at Home

There is something very special about "doing Christmas" at home. Visiting with your family in your pj's in front of the tree you decorated is the best.

Under the Tree
In our family we draw names and buy some thing for one other person. It's always a highlight of gift-giving to see how the other person reacts to what you chose for them. Sometimes watching them open your gift is the best part.

Around the Tree
This was our first Christmas without our Papa and because of the weather our Aunt and Uncle couldn't make it either. It was still a good time to spend time with some pretty cool people.

Around the Town
So many things happened because of the weather. Being forced to stay in, there were lots of that we were able to do - go through forgotten boxes, play family games, create some new recipes...sometimes it's a blessing to slow down.

In trying to limit the number of things that I have to pick up off of the floor, I suggested to my sister that we give each other experiences, do some memory making with our families for the holidays. She found a great deal for us all to go to Austin Parks and Pizza at a discounted rate over the Thanksgiving Holiday.

We played and played - from the oldest to the youngest, we definitely got our monies worth.

Great DIY Christmas Idea

A friend of mine made me a blanket for my birthday - a football super soft blanket. I just love it! So I thought I'd make her one for Christmas. She likes basketball - so that's what we picked out.

the one we made even has a pocket so that she can keep the game controller or TV remote in there!

I think that she really liked it! And I got a bag of M&M's - that's a great gift!

After watching the first episode of Nickelodean iCarly, where the main character decides to do a web show, my kids decided that they would like to do a "show". Choosing to share our experiences with others, sounded like a really fun idea.

After going to a restaurant or on an outing, we talk about how we felt about it and what we each think and then we share those thoughts and ideas with you.
